Welded Steel Bar Grating - 19W4 & 15W2

Welded carbon steel bar grating is the industrial standard for strength, drainage, and airflow underfoot.

19W4 means bearing bars spaced 1-3/16" on center ("19" sixteenths), welded construction, cross bars every 4".

15W2 tightens that up - bearing bars 15/16" apart, cross bars every 2" - for smaller openings and heel-safe walking surfaces.

Materials & Finishes

  1. Plain carbon steel - the workhorse for dry, indoor, painted applications.
  2. Hot-dip galvanized - zinc-coated for outdoor platforms, catwalks, and wet environments.
  3. Aluminum bar grating - a third the weight, naturally corrosion-resistant; the pick for rooftops, marine settings, and anything crews lift by hand.
  4. Stainless steel grating - for washdown, chemical, and food-plant duty.

Serrated or Smooth?

Smooth-top grating is easier on knees, feet, and anything dragged across it.

Serrated grating bites back - notched bearing bars that grip boots in oil, mud, rain, or ice. Outdoor ramps, industrial platforms, and anywhere OSHA-minded slip resistance matters: go serrated.

Bar Grating Stair Treads

Matching grating stair treads with diamond nose plates and end plates, sized to your stringers - the fastest way to finish a platform or mezzanine stair in the same material as the deck.

Where Bar Grating Works

Mezzanines and work platforms, catwalks and walkways, trench and drain covers, equipment screens, loading areas, stair systems - anywhere you need a floor that sheds water, light, and debris while carrying real loads.

Grating carries its load along the bearing bars, so span direction matters. Tell us your span and loading and we'll help you size the panel.

Sizes & Availability

Standard panels are regularly available and cut to your layout. Contact us for today's availability and pricing.

Cut to Size, Ready to Set
